79sc fead stud

just put my engine on the stand noticed different color head stud, steel u top,magnet wont stick to bottom 16 studs divlar? and if so change just bottm divlar or all 32 the steel uppers loook new

Are any if them broken?
Are you doing a rebuild anyways? If rebuilding then change them out. I used the steel ones, others will recommend many other types, just read the engine rebuilding forum to see!

Doubt a previous owner would have just changed out the top given the bottoms were the ones that sheared.

Are they shiny like SS or do they have a cadmium plating look. My Dilavars were a bit gold-ish if I remember. I still have the old ones at my shop so I can go see later today. They looked "tired" The raceware ones still look "new" after 15 years.

Maybe the bottoms are Raceware studs?
