84 Carrera Cruise Control Module Location

I just know this is going to end up being a dumb question but, where is the cruise control module located in a 1984 3.2 Carrera? The Bentley manual says it's in the smugglers box and then in later cars underneath the radio. Mine's not in either location and I can't find it anywhere. Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. Thanks in advance for your help. -Tom

Should be under radio and easily seen. Perhaps it was removed by PO? Is the lead wires(connector) there anywhere?

It's up front near the fresh air blower. IIRC, you have to remove the vertical panel that sits just below the trunk cowling, at the base of the windshield.

Thanks everyone. It was indeed up by the fresh air blower. I confused the fresh air blower with the blower in the smuggler's box. Now on to getting it rebuilt. Thanks again, -Tom
