In the back of my 2.7 engine on the left, there is an elecrical plug with the little clip that holds it on, it looks like it goes somewhere. It's grey and is the same kind of connector that plugs in to the fuel injection. since I can't get to the back of the engine, I have no idea if or where it goes. Is this possibly a test point? Is this why the engine runs like crap?

Do 2.7's have the air flow detection switch like the 3.0s? If so, that may be it. It connects to the front side of the sensor plate housing.
Other possibilities, cold start injector, WUR, AAR

Possibilities: WUR (warm up regulator) located on the driver's side between intake runners, cold start valve behind (front of engine as installed) throttle, air flow switch on air meter on front top of air box and finally auxilliary air valve on passenger side between intake runners. I suspect the WUR would cause the most running problems followed by the aux. air valve and then the cold start valve which should mainly cause hard starting problems if not connected. Air flow switch should not affect running but you lost your fire/engine flooding protection if it is not connected. Cheers, Jim
