ac blower fan
i was taking a 3 hour drive today and about an hour into my trip the fan quit blowing and the ac shut down in the high speed fan position...turning the knob to medium or low and the ac would start working again ...any ideas what i should check as to why the high speed isn't working would be appreciated and hopefully an easy fix...it had been working fine till today
thanks in advance Jay |

Jay, the AC speed switches rot out from age.

thanks for the replies...checking this morning with the engine off but the key switch on the front condenser blower and the clutch kicks in with the fan switched to high but the evaporator fan doesn't come on...turned down to low or medium and the fan runs....sounds like the switch?

well i found the high speed fan wire that connects to the speed switch was corroded and burned so i cleaned up ALL the contacts and spliced in a new wire and blade connector and were back in business
