917 wheel color question

Is a 917 wheel color, flat black or satin black? Thinking of powder coating a set of Fuchs and trying to decide on a color.

Thanks

Be careful powder coating Fuchs. I'd use a good epoxy. They are not flat black. Mine are IMO semi-gloss. What 917 had Fuchs?

Here’s an original 917K wheel – bare magnesium outer rim and satin black painted centers. The center lock nut was anodized gold aluminum. Most 917’s you see on display today have all black painted wheels (including the outer rim).

rlane930, thanks for the pic and info. Got to ask, do you have a 917?
