Chain tensioner upgrade tips?

I'm up dating the chain tensioners on my 75 2.7 this weekend. I have the kit and Wayne's book. Any helpful tips or watch outs?

Make sure to prime them well with oil.
Submerge them in oil and pump the piston to remove all air.

submerge and pump does not always work. Use an old fashioned pump and some hoses. Easy and clean. recommended by a P mechanic when I thought my new tensioner were defective when they didn't pump up submerged

All I can say is, it worked for me... 5000 miles later, still going strong.
