Where'd you find them? I don't see Porsche listed on their site.

Wow that's by FAR the cheapest stainless header I've seen for a 911. Also what about clearance for removing the valve covers, changing oil lines, need for adapters...etc? I'm sure they've dynoed them for all their Honda, Mitsubishi, and other makes but what about some definitive data for the 911? Interesting...I'll shoot them an email and report back.

I have no personal experience with OBX, but I've read from various places that they're a source of generic, cheap headers for various (mostly Asian) makes. The durability and efficiency may be questionable compared with more established suppliers, but it may be worth the gamble given the price.

they're big! 1 11/16" primaries. Too big to be of much use for a smaller motor I'd think. But the price...

What size is 1 11/16" good for?

Check in the 911 Turbo (930) section, several members there use these headers with great feedback on them!

PatrickB made great power with these on his 3.2. Search his name on this forum and you should find a good thread about them.
Cheers

3.2-3.5.
A 3.2 likes a 1 5/8 and a 3.6 likes 1 3/4. (generally speaking of course) My 3.4 made great power with 1 5/8 but I am going to give these a try too. Cheers

1 11/16" is the OD of the primaries on the OBX headers.. That translates into a 1 5/8" ID.

Those sure do look purdy though. Dumb question, but wouldn't those make you lose your heat though? In a race car fine, but for driving about, I kind of like knowing that I've at least got hot air available. . .

I did a search on these headers on Google. There was LOTS of bad press on them. They seem to be prone to cracks.
I went with 1¾" George's European Headers for my 3.7 project, a lot more $$$ but definitely quality. Search around the ricer forums.

Yes, no heat with these or any other header system with no heater boxes. Sounds like they're too big for a 3.0 anyway.

I installed OBX headers on my wife's track MINI. They were very well made, and fit perfect. They have held up without issues for 30k miles including track use, without any issue. I am thinking seriously about trying them on my 911SC race car.

Why would they be OK for 82-83 but not 78-81? All are 3.0L engines.
