200mph Coupe? lol 930 speedo in a Carerra

Both cars 87, I am pretty sure the 87 930 I drove was a 4 speed thus a heavier trans. Maybe Im crazy... Anyway anyone think the pickups would be different? As long as the pick ups were the same in number ans placement it should be ok.

I am contemplating a 930 replacement but the gear to fix mine is only $25 and a 1 banana job maybe... I doubt my car will ever see more than 130 but the 930 speedo (some have a 200mph clock) might be easier to read through an aftermarket undersized (damn they are all too forkin small!) MoMo wheel. Thanks for passing the knowledge and any smart ass comments or jokes are welcome :-), just as long as you give me a good laugh.

I could put a flux capacitor next to the speedo as well...

Or you could do the $0 approach and just twist the speedo so that 0 mph points at 6 o'clock. That's what I do. Or you could send your speedo to someone like North Hollywood or Palo Alto and they can customize the gauge for you. Do a search and you'll find plenty of examples of both.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

Actually, the 930 box is lighter than the G50. I too have my speedo clocked to read 60-70MPH easier through the MOMO.

The speedo pickup is on the differential so it will be exactly the same as it is tied directly to the wheel rotational speed. Gear ratios wouldn't enter into it.
The only difference would be if the Turbo had a different number of signalling magnets.

Yes Quicksilver this is my thought on the magnets. I am familiar enough with the set up to make myself worry too much.
