77 911S Koni Strut - Big Washer?

Hi,

I am a looking for a little help. The top of me 911S Koni has a heavy duty washer (not the one that is shaped like a dish). I think it goes underneath the strut mount. Is this washer necessary? I dont see it in nay part diagrams.

Thanks for any help.

If it's around 5mm thick, it's a spacer that was used when Porsche ran a higher front ride height on US cars to meet period headlight height requirements. No, you don't need it, if you plan on running a normal 911 front ride height.

Keep that big fat spacer for other future uses. Comes in very handy for pressing and clamping things. Recently used mine to "press" a steering column bearing in place by pulling the bearing in with some threaded rod. Big spacer was more than stout enough to pull against.

No problem. If you can't reach Clint, nudge Max via the contact info address on Clint's site. That usually gets you a prompt response.
