How to reinstall 930 front sway bar?
Just finished redoing the bushings in front, and I cant get the sway bar back in place....
It fits into the a-arms ok, but the sway bar and rear rubber bushing are now about a 1/4 inch too far back, and do not align with the screw holes... The new bushings don't have that much "give", and I can't manually push the sway bar forward... Is it just a matter of forcefully pulling the sway bar forward? And if so, how??? I was thinking about using a ratcheting strap, but not sure if thats best... Any help appreciated. Bo |

Yup, just a matter of wrestling it back into position. Ratchet strap could help. Just helped a friend reinstall his this past weekend, one to force the bar into position, the other to start the fasteners.
One trick I've used in the past is to put some lube (dishwashing soap) on the the bar where it goes into the control arm bushings to allow the bar to slide a bit when the pressure is put on it to force the bar into place. But the lube could attract dirt later.

Might want to find an extra set of hands to help. One to ratchet and on to guide the end. It took my husband and I, working together to get it. Good luck.
