Wow....just wow.
 
I saw this car on our local Craigslist and thought the pictures were interesting enough to post here for posterity purposes. Listed as a "Convertible Porshe replica 959".

BTW: I know how to spell Porsche...it was misspelled in the ad.

yikes, what did get hacked for that thing? It has 4 lug wheels but its rear engine - so did they do the opposite of a 914-6 and transplant 914 suspension to a 911/912?

it's build on a VW Bug chassis.

Just noticed that is shag carpet on the rear of passenger compartment. May not be a vw bug mod... may be a vw van mod.

FYI: Info on build from ad:

359 classic by C.M.C.
Rock solid frame that bolts to a bug pan
914 motor and transaxle
912 front end
4 wheel disc brakes
motor is balanced and built with 2.27 liter pistons with cam and 44mm Webber carbs.
