I use petroleum jelly (Vaseline) it is what porsche recommends to use. It takes time but does Clean them up nice. Only problem it is constant cleaning the anodized seems to collect brake dust. If you have the rims polished there much easier to clean.

Anodized cleaned with vaseline
Polished rims
No mater how much time I put into the anodized that was the best they looked the polished always look like that just use a rag and wipe off the brake dust.

I periodically use a one-stop cleaner wax. I have never understood or tried the Vasoline treatment but I recognize that Porsche recommends it in the owner's manual. Again, I don't know what it does for the wheels.

The car looks fantastic - I've been pondering going for the polished look since my anodization is looking a little blotchy. What did you do to protect the polished surface?

Yes Vaseline on paint too takes time but they look like new when your done. Doing it in full sun helps. For the polished I use mothers mag& aluminum polish. Changed the rim one more time now there fully polished.

But that's what they were intended to look like. The anodized finish was never meant to look like polished. I vastly prefer the understated anodized look, polished is too "American hot rod" for me.

Of course, that's just my preference. I don't expect everyone to share it with me.

I agree. I love many American hot rods I have seen (and might want to get a flat head roadster), but on the Porsche I like the anodized look. It's what they came with.

Arne your right I still have my anodized Fuchs bought the polished ones. But like you said about American hot rods I love the fully polished look reminds me of the cragers we all had on our Chevys in the 80s. Kept the originals if I ever get tired of the polished look.

Anodized…..

I stripped the black paint and was going to return them to factory finish then decided I liked the anodized look.
Easy to maintain.

Another vote for petroleum jelly. I rub mine down with some generic Vaseline every 2-4 weeks to keep them looking great. It is actually transformative, IMO.
