Cheapest solution for brake light switch
I took my pedal cluster off the car to change the bushings for the bronze ones and got a big surprise because the old ones were perfect but anyway i changed them.
the PO had changed the brake light switch to the early mechanical one and i managed to re-brake the tab off while removing the pedals it looks like it had broken before but anyway i needed a way to fix it fast so i could use the car and since delivery from pelican takes a while to Mexico i decided to make a temporary fix using this lever momentary switch ![]() make a hole in the lever so you can insert a screw and use it to adjust when the switch opens and closes ![]() i made a mount with some aluminum angle stock i had ![]() this is the switch installed and adjusted ![]() it works perfectly and you can make fine adjustments in situ so the lights go on with minimal pedal travel but the best part was the amazing price, less than 1 dollar for the whole thing ![]() ![]() best regards

Nice setup. I just finished using the Napa #SL128 supposed Cadillac Switch Mod. Worked out great and appears very similar to your setup (mine cost $20 though).

A brake light switch is probably something you wouldn't want to jury-rig. If it goes out, you might have an SUV up your arse.

No worries here as I wired my switch to the brake pressure switch at the Master Cylinder. In essence, now I have 2 brake light switches, in case one fails, the other will activate!

I see two wood screws in this setup. The premise is good but the execution is a little weak. But hey, what could go wrong?

Actually its the same solution porsche had with the mechanical switches but while waiting 3 weeks for it i can use this as a temporary fix, the only wood screw is the adjuster but ive already changed it for a normal one with a lock nut, all the other screws are stove type with nylocks and since ive read a lot in the forum that pressure switches tend to fail a lot i think i have the same chance of failure
