What wood steering wheels suit an SC?
I'm not in love with the stock steering wheel on the SC. Anybody have a wood Nardi or Momo installed? I really like the classic Nardi 3 spoke, which might be a decade or so too "early" for the SC but would class up the otherwise slightly dated look of the brown dash.

Its for a car I'm thinking about and is identical to this car:

Nice looking car and nice looking wheel, but I do think that with that wheel, you'll start to see other things you'll want to back date to match the look. Nothing wrong with that at all, but personally, my eye would find mismatches that I'd want to correct. ...chrome window trim, chrome mirrors, old gauges, etc..
I have seen Momo Prototipo done in wood that might be the right look.

Here's what I found that might be very nice: Wooden Momo

It's not an E-type, it is a 911. No wooden steering wheel will suit a SC interior unless you date it way waaaay back IMO.

Wood looks out of place to my eye on an SC....on an earlier 60's 70's 911 yes.

Yup, that's why I went back to a regular SC steering wheel.

Do what makes you happy, that's why it's called "customizing."
My 944 came with this guy on it, the PO thought it was perfect. Didn't suit me, so I swapped it out. Went back in when I sold the car. ![]()

Overall I agree that wood steering wheels are unusual in 80's sports cars. I'm not in love with the momo prototypo - are there any other period wheels that suit the SC? |
