Coupler from our host?

Like a caveman I snapped my shift coupler to bits this weekend trying to replace the bushings.. so now I need a new one. Anyone have any experience with this model from our host? Did a search on here and came up short. Cheaper than stock.

I just installed that one. It has the oblong holed (fore-aft) bushings to take up a bit of movement of the transmission just like the original unit. The bushings that our host sells as a replacement are a bit tight and are circular. I actually bought both - my intent was to rebuild mine with new bushings, but, like you, I broke the original and ordered this red replacement. The cool thing is that it has two little set screws the hold the cross piece in so it is super easy to change out the bushings. The build is nice (nicer than original), but does not come with the large set screw to attach it to the shift linkage - Just use the original one you have and it works great.

I tried it with both the oblong bushings that come with it (white) and the replacement circular ones and I ended up settling on the oblong ones to keep the shifter from noticeably moving under load and back-throttle. I'm really happy with it. Since that I have replaced both the engine and tranny mounts and there was a noticeable difference there. I could try switching the bushings back again and maybe I will to see if all that fuss was just the mounts and I might do that, but it does shift so much better with a complete rebuild of the shifter and all bushings. There are a lot of interacting bits so it is hard to tell just what did the most, but it is very good now. The only slowness is from 1st to 2nd but I think that is more normal than not.
