A arm retaining plate - does it come with tow eye?

i don't have a front tow eye so i want to buy the correct part.

i believe its part of the A arm retaining plate but its not shown in the pelican diagram/drawing?

btw - wheres the rear tow eye on an '86?

The Carrera has a slightly different plate than the one pictured above. Since SC's are towed much more often, they had a much heavier 'ring' welded to the cap. The Carrera, on the other hand, rarely breaking down and only needing something to prevent a curb from hitting the front condenser has a plate that is welded to the cap. The plate has a hole in it, not for towing, but for aerodynamic purposes.

I think your terminology is off. I don’t think what you are referring to is a front “Tow Eye” but rather a "Tie Down" point for shipping or trailering the car to the track. The illustrated removable rear tow eye is only for getting the car out of the “sand traps” found on the outside edge of many racetrack corners. When your Carrara needs towing use a flat bed.

As far as Carrara’s being more reliable than SCs, as if!
