Please identify part
This is at the front of engine in between flywheel and oil cooler bolted vertically to the engine tin.
It has an tube that passes through the tinware that looks like it should have a hose attached. The bottom of the part has a sleeve that fits over the part which is pinched at the bottom to a slit. ![]() Cheers Bill

This is to allow collected oil/moisture to drain from the air filter housing. It is connected via a short piece of hose to a nipple at the bottom of the filter housing. Liquid can leak out the slit at the end without road debris getting flung in there to plug it. Or so the theory went.

that whole system was dispensed with and the hole plugged at some point in production (presumably as unnecessary). there are lots of threads about it (search for "drain hose" or similar terms).
