I believe car fax only goes back as far as 1980 or so. I tried to find one for my 77 911, that's when I found out.

I believe it is '82 for their database. At any rate, anything other than a now-standard 17 digit VIN will not work at all. If you're looking for a 70's p-cars you're out of luck...

Is this a CA. Car? if so, you can go to the DMV home page and
possibly find some info on it. I found some brief info on my 77 911, but it was just smog related. Other than that??

You may very well be able to go to your local dealer and have them run the VIN on the dealer communicate system. At the very least you should see what took place up until the warranty expired.

Send a message via AIM to Charley Dog
