Picture of the decal that's under the hood

Can anyone show me what the decal that is on the underside of the hood, near the catch that shows the vin.# and other info. looks like and what it's actual position is?

I have a 1983 SC that hopefully will run one of these days.

Thanks LM

zefsuper911 - I believe you need to reduce the filesize of the source image you uploaded.

Here is the decal from my 83SC. It is on the underside of the hood itself. I don't have a good pic to indicate position, and don't have the car with me to take a better pic. Hope this helps some.

Option Decoder

This is useful in decoding the 3 digit options.

Lorne - my car is in the shop at the moment undergoing tranny surgery, but I have a clear pic of the same label which appears in my owners manual. I had started a thread here and on rennlist regarding decoding the option codes if you are interested (you should find them if you search mu userd ID). Let me know if you want me to point you there. Here is the pic of the label in my owners manual.

The position is approximate. They weren't concerned about precise location. They just peeled off the backing and stuck it up there. No two are exactly in the same place and they usually aren't even oriented straight.

I am not sure my car has one. Were they prone to falling off? Would like to know the options that came with my car?
