Slight front end knock
My 83 911SC has a 163k on it. Best heard when shutting the engine off and coasting at low speeds, she has a slight knock freom the front end. I can hear it only at lower speeds and on less than smooth pavement. I have been slowly rebuilding it and had planned on getting after the suspension this winter, but I'm a bit concerned of doing damage or suffering a roadside incident. Any thoughts? I replaced a shock tower bushing but that was not the culprit.

this is common on bilstein struts. the metal bushings inside the strut tube, which guide the shock body, get sloppy. bilstein can rebush them i believe.

Thanks for the response. If it wasn't for the 3000 mile distance, I'd be a regular customer out there in Seattle. Your experience is enviable. Cheers.
