Door window frames
Are the window frames of a 911SC which are black, made from stainless steel? I saw a thread where they had been stripped and polished. I thought they needed to be chrome plated, but if they are stainless this wouldn't be necessary for a retro look.

Probably alloy casting, the earlier models are an anodised alloy material. (I hesitate to use the term "muck metal" on this forum)

No, they are not stainless steel. They are made from aluminum.

Aluminium is OK thought as that can be polished and laquered if necessary. Are the standard 'bright' ones polished or Chrome plated?
Are the door handles aluminium as well? I guess they probably are! |

The frames are first polished, then bright dip anodized. The door handles are made of pot metal, which can be chromed.
