XDI vs 12 plug dizzy
Looking into options for 12 plug and am contemplating both a 12 plug dizzy (JB, BURNS) or the electromotive XDI... The XDI is the cheaper option, but what are the other benefits?

If you are considering EFI at some point, you could do a Megasquirt I or II kit with twin EDIS controllers/coil packs. It would certainly be less than a new dizzy, might even be able to do it for around $500 if you can DIY most of it. The EDIS stuff is robust, cheap, and easy to find in the u-pick yards.

I had planned to run EFI on the car when I started building her, but changed plans recently. My initial thought was to use a system from PE-ltd.com (sponsored my last rally car) and build intakes using triumph 46mm throttle bodies. After some time I decided that carbs was a simple and much less time consuming endeavor.
