Post why can't my tach keep up w\engine revs.

When i get on the gas hard, my tach when it reaches around 4500 will almost stop, the engine will keep reving to 6000, then when i'm shifting at around 6000, the tach fianally catches up. Why does the tach not rev w\the engine? It's supper annoying knowing that that i'm reving to 6000 but when i look down it'showing 4000 for a split second.

The jeweled bearings in the meter movement are sticking and need to be replaced ... time to send the tach. off for repair!
