Valve cover cleaning
Now that I am adjusting my valves using the back-side method and have the valve covers off, any suggestions on what to use to clean them?
Thanx, ![]() |

I've read where others use an engine degreaser, and a brush, then rinse them off and put them in the dishwasher...

Dennis,
You didn't mention the most important part...... Put in dishwasher after wife goes out and remove before wife comes home! Cheers Bill

Webb, what do you mean by sanding them? And while were at it, what do you use to clean the seat where the valve covers go (on the engine side)?

1. search on sand + valve + cover + flat
- you will get tips & procedure 2. is paper stuck there?? if so, use a plastic scraper or wooden wedge |

I get it! Fortunately, nothing is stuck on the covers or the engine seat.
