Procrastination breeds creativity...

Great Photoshopping (I would have tried, but decided silver would be way too tricky...)

Wow, John, thanks! The original version of that pic is very cool as well. That definitely has me thinking again...

To make your car stand out from other RS replicas, whatever colour combination you decide on, why not use the style of 'Carrera' side scripts that appeared on the very first RS Carrera :

An advantage that I see with that colour scheme right away is that you could keep the rubber strips on the bumpers. Unless they were rotten anyway and you were looking for an excuse to ditch them...

John Deere Green

Can anyone tell me about the tail lights on the green and yellow?

andyjboy 08-13-2002 03:03 PM

They're 911R replica rear lamps as sold by GT Racing.

I haven't seen this See Blau (Oxford Blue) on the board yet. It's very original and pretty rare on a RS.

I resemble that remark!

Here's another color scheme, we just added the correct ducktail for the Lime Rock Vintage festival last weekend:

I wonder if I should add the green stripe to the bumpers?

Mike!

did my right front fender make the LRP vintage festival?

Your car is looking awsome as usual

Bill,

Ditto wolfturbo's comments, it made the day...wasn't this vehicle featured in a past Excellence issue?

:D

AnalogMike,

That car is awesome! You've got me thinking hard about that combination.

Here are a couple of poor Pshop attempts to take your scheme to red/white/black:

What do you guys think of those?

I'll take the second one, thanks!

RsexS, do you have any more photos of that Sea Blau/oxford Blue car? It looks very similar to the colour of mine (ossi blue).

Chuck how about this one. Its been a several POC STS events. it now has a very potent 3.6 in its rear. I have no idea how to make it bigger, but i'm sure someone here can. Heres a link www.nosubstitute.org/events/SOW9June01/DSCN0082.jpg

Standard Blue and White. Saw a show about the factory museum that sold us on this look...

Chuck Moreland 09-05-2002 07:09 AM

Mike

I've seen that car and spoken with the owner and the builder. He's got a different front bumper on it now with a splitter. It is sharp.

Blue and white is definitely the classic RS look and arguably the best. The factory got it right on that one.
