Minilite sizing for Euro '77

Hi All,

Noobie here, I am in the process of backdating my 911 to a long hood. Part of my project will be replacing my German Fuches with Minilites. Just need some advice with specific sizing. I want the maximum (but realistically drivable) sizes for my model.

My car is a 1977 SC (Euro model) with SC flares on the back and standard flare on the front.

I have a blog PORSCHE 911 BACKDATE PROJECT if you want to see where I'm at and inspiration...

No affiliation but I saw an ad at CL a guy selling Minilites in New Haven CT. Not sure if the offsets are correct but you may want to give it a try. I didn't post the link to the ad as I am not sure if its allowed here but I checked it again and its still posted. The ad states it came from an 82SC 7/8x16 made by Superlites not sure if that would help.

Go with whatever Diameter you prefer, reg sidewall size, look, tire choice, handling etc...

But, by golly...go with 7" Front and 9" Rear widths...theyll look nice when car is corner balanced/sitting properly.

Sizes

I have run 15x7 and 15x9 Minilites on a 1978 911SC. They work great.

Derp, of course. Slowly figuring out the acronyms. Yes a link would be good.

Also, as far as I know, the largest diameter for Minilites is 16", so that's what I'll go for...

Thx for the CL post.

They are 7x16 front and 8x16 rear. I want as wide as possible, and it seems to me that you can get 9x16 on the rear, and they fit well.

I'm a little unsure about how wide I can go on the front. I have curled the lip over on the front fenders, has anyone done 8x16 on the front?

Also needs some clarity on offset (what is the 911 SC standard for front and back?). Also what is 'ET'?

I'm not sure what Magnus has on his car, but they seem a pretty good fit.
