Cabriolet headliner

couple of questions;
- did a headliner come stock with the cabriolets?

- has anyone installed one after market, impressions, install process?

What year are you asking about? My '86 Cab does not have one.

I have an 88 911 Cab and there is not a complete headliner. There are multiple layers and little straps to help it fold correctly.

you can use a 1 layer nominal 60" wide solid black polyester blend, tighter the weave the better, available at most "rag shops". For the elastic straps you can also find at the same shops an equivalent you can easily sew on.

Cut the width to you need, roll the edge and hem.
The liner is glued to the front and back sections to the support spars under the top.

I did it. 8 years going strong.

Thanks Griff ... I've seen some on the Internet from $150-190. Did you find the headliner helps keep the cab cooler?
