Valeo Alternator Replacement modifications

Anyone know exactly what wiring changes need to be made to use the Valeo alternator with the voltage regulator inside? Thanks, Rich

On my 79..... just leave off the black wire in the alt. wiring harness (cut it or fold it back and tape it up), unplug the external VR, and had to cut a notch in the air diffuser to fit the alt. Also needed a new cup washer as the old one wouldn't fit. Didn't need a resistor as my alt. light worked fine after the install.
