Oil on Plugs
I have just run my 993 engine after breaking a rocker and decided to put new rings in while engine was out .
After completing a few run in-sessions around the track the engine start to miss and a bit of smoke from right exhaust . Took car to dyno shop and we found a couple of wet plugs on the right side . Why or how can oil get into plugs ? Can anyone help me please cheers Dave |

Rings aren't completely seated yet is my first inclination.

I would recommend performing a leakdown test now as well as after 500 miles (once proper ring-seating techniques have been performed) to compare the figures and confirm the rings have seated properly.
You should see 2-4% after seating. If you have some cylinders that are higher, you may have a ring/piston/cylinder issue.

Hi Guys ,thank you for coming back to me .Dyno guy did a compression test and said everything was fine and is doing another run today and then is going re check plugs .
If the run is ok ,but plug are still wet is it ok to run the car at a race meeting next week .Is there any chance of damaging engine ? |
