993 with Carrera stripes and ducktail?

Here is my "artist's rendition". I brought thus up over at the rennlist forum and the feeling was generally good on it.

Specifically I'm thinking black car with silver graphics.

John,
I think this is very creative, and wayyyyyy cool! Makes me want to go out and get a 993, just to do this!

ps: now I am thinking about a white car done as a 73 RS replica, with red, green, or blue lettering & some fuchs replicas a la Jack Olsen's ride...

John, this looks very interesting. A little retro, very stylish. Maybe an upcoming project...

The wheels look out of place. You expect to see Fuchs when you see that side script and ducktail.

I must say when I read the subject line I thought this was going to be another E-bay gem. But then I saw the picture. WHOA... you have to do this!

Like it!

But I'd go for a hint more subtlety - Graphics in gunmetal grey or a very dark red perhaps?

Looks great !! If you are serious about doing this, it will be killer !!

There could be some interesting decisions to be made with regard to the wheels, script color etc, but boy, what fun choices to "have" to make.

Can you throw some polished 17" fuchs on there just to see what it would look like?

Just so you know Fuchs cannot fit on a 993 because they won't clear the calipers. The wheels I've shown there are the 18" Speedline 3 piece from the European 993 RS.

PS: Milu I like your color suggestions, especially the red.

Maybe JonT's suggested custom 17" Fuchs might.

Cool look John. The ducktail looks cool but I definetly would not give up the power tail for it. I do like the script, now you've got me thinking! Are you serious about this or just day dreaming? I say go for it!!! Send pics.

Would someone please photoshop some fuchs on that car in a matching body color with polished paddles? That would be the ultimate--I bet they could be custom made like Jack O's.
