I imagine you could make it work on a 911 (the Bosch pump was used for Mercedes and was not made to be model specific) but it is not the kind that was used in the 70's. I think the 1980's SCRS Kugelfischer was different from the one in your pictures as well.

Nice Kugelfischer Danilo. The pulley is the wrong size for a 911 application. The photos below are for a 911's. One for a turbo and one non-turbo. The Kugelfischer 6 cylinder one's are getting rare. Price is all over the place. Last year I saw one go for $3800, but I have seen them for $8000 and of course the NOS one on E-Bay for 21,000.

Sorry not to add anything but for my own curiosity: It's mechanical fuel injection, somewhat better than Webber's and reliable like EFI?

Good question.

I think there is simply a MAJOR cool factor to mechanical injection that Webers/Zeniths/CIS/Motronic/other EFI just can't compete with.

If I am wrong others will speak up.

If you stick with stock engine specs (be it RS, S, E, T, RSR) and your components are new and have been installed and dialed-in via the "Check, Measure, Adjust" manual's procedure then it runs great all the time. If the parts are worn out then you start making adjustments to cover it up and they then start to a little rough under certain circumstances. If you venture far from stock power levels or cams then you will need to send it to someone like Mark Jung to have it recalibrated and maybe have the spacecam or flyweights adjusted to suit your engine.

But it has better performance and fuel efficiency than carbs, and the cool factor of not having computers. It is better than any open-loop EFI system because of the high injection pressure and the barometric cell makes it better than carbs. Althought, I don't see an aneroid on the Kugelfischer like there is on the Bosch.

More pics of the BMW, please. And how is it sticking to the ceiling? Don't believe I've seen it around town.
