Motor going back in tomorrow after 8 year on/off resto, I can't wait.
Since the motor is finally going back in I though it would be a good time to snap the requisite "in the hole" pictures. I am very nervous.

In my opinion, whatever you do make sure you have replaced the engine firewall insulation pad before putting the engine back in, you apparently can't do it once the engine is back in there and it's only about $65 or so. The PO of my car had the engine out for a full engine out/all glass out repaint and left the old liner in,
so I have a grubby old engine liner and it looks like crap against the whole rest of the car, and now the leading visible edge is all coming apart grrrrrrCar looks great from what I can see, and that's a very good looking engine! |

Beautiful. Your beer looks a little weak, though. Keep us posted on the driving experience!

Wow when I first saw the title I thought "8 years"??? but now that I see the motor it looks like it's had more than 8 years of cleaning/painting!!!
I used to land survey in PSL back in the 80's - which was a breeze due the flat land; setup a transit and chop a line for almost a mile thru the palmettos. Chuck.H '89 TurboLookTarga, 364k miles |

That power train is almost jewel-like - nice! I like the cushions on your bumper brackets. I instead opted for a few scars and bruises...
Reward time indeed - Good luck! GK |
