Cant dismantle my 964 front struts....
 

Hi Guys,

I am trying to lower my 1992 C2 convertible with Eibach springs, but cant get the top nut loose on the front strut. My 7 mm hex doesnt seem to fit 100 %, but it might be the groove worn. I have tried oil, heat, force, but nothing seems to get the nut moving....

Any ideas? Worst case, can I crack or cut the nut of? How?

I just feel this sholdnt be this hard!

Any help would be very appreciated.

Regretfully no.... I will drive by the shop tomorrow, they have tools. Thanks!

On the positive side I had no trouble with the rears. And, apparently the PO have mounted Bilstein HD struts!
