1986 911 targa heated seats

Both of my seats don't heat, what is the probable cause, fuse is good. If relay or switch are they available?

Does the fuse have power?
Don't know probable, but possible causes: Window Regulator control unit not furnishing power to the fuse; faulty Seat delaying relay, open elements (seat and back), faulty seat t-stat, faulty ground.

I don't have them and wish I did.
The Bentley doesn't show seat heater for the passenger side - could this be true?

Was this gradual or all of a sudden issue?

Check to make sure there is power to the switches as well.

After reading this, in my longing for heated seats (it's 15F out tonight) and a really nice schematic (better than the one in Bentley), I researched a tad more.

Of course Jim is correct in mentioning the switches. But I saw a reference to the heaters themselves going bad, and that they can easily be checked via their plug in the seat. Maybe that is a probable cause. I saw too that the passenger has one as well. Live and learn.

Maybe that will be my next project, a universal seat heater install!
