Looking for a picture of specific area on your 88 or 89 targa

I have collected the parts for the 3 point rear belt conversion. I am looking for a photo of where the belts come out of the rear shelf. On the 964's that I have seen pictures of its clearly a different setup then my 87. The 88/9 should be the same as mine since the three point rear belts were standard in those years.

If anyone has a shot I would appreciate it before I cut mine.

Thanks

Below are a couple of links with photos that might help. From memory there is a low shelf and the belts come out the top and a high shelf where the belts come out the front. I think for Carreras they all have the belts out the front, but don't quote me on this.

I did this on my '86. I located a set of the 964 seatbelt trim rosettes, but have not gotten around to installing them. I currently have a simple slit cut in the front of my parcel shelf trim. I don't have the exact dimensions for where the 964 trim attaches so I've put the project on the back burner. I've not had any luck getting anyone to send me measurements. -J

Rear three point seatbelt retro fit possible in 78-83 SC?

I need to find the trim pieces. The ones I sourced are clearly the wrong pieces. I agree the belts should come out of the upper part of the shelf that faces forward not out of the top.

Thanks.

Still looking for a pic from an 88 or 89 trying to figure out what that trim piece looks like.

Agreed on them coming out the top. I am going to change mine. I installed them coming out the front and they catch and sometimes dont retract properly. Ed
