Carrera 3.0 1977, ducktail??
Was it possible to order a 1977 Carrera 3.0 with a ducktail? I have a full (heavy) rubber tail now, thinking on putting a ducktail, but only if it would have been possible at the time... 1976 it was I believe, but 1977???
Any thoughts? |

I don't think so, just whale in glass or rubber or no tail.
Perhaps Bill Verburg will chime in......... Cheers Bill

I read today in 911&Porsche World magazine that Porsche homologated the ducktail until 1981 for rally teams... Only my carrera3.0 is not rally-equipped or is any standard 3.0, so it would be a misfit... or not

No only the f/g or p/u whales were available, TüV killed the duck in '74 because it was considered unsafe for pedestrians, all 911w/ a tail from '75 on have one form or another of whale or tea
