02 Cab Top Problems

Hi folks. I have a 02 Carrera4 Cab, and the convertible top functions fine except when I put it up, the cable tunnels (I call them piping) on both sides of the top don't tension the top well enough to make it return to the proper position inside the metal frame for the top. This causes the top to fit outside the frame, causing wind noise, leaking, etc., plus it looks bad. Has anyone else had this problem? And is it possible to adjust the tension on the cables to correct this, or am I going to have to either live with it or get a new top? Thanks in advance.
