16x6s fit on 67 911?

OK, I've read all the stuff....and I can't tell from the chatter whether a set of 16x6s (205/55/16 &
225/50/16) will fit on my 67 911 without mods. Can anyone help this neophyte?

thx

a customer had 6x16s all around on his 67 912 and they fit fine. the 225s won't though. too wide anyway for a 6" rim.

Yes, with one limiting factor; ’67 and earlier had a wide fender lip (~15 mm) front and rear. How is your ’67 911?

In ’68 they dramatically reduced that lip.

Tell us more about your car. Original paint?

Best,
Grady

16x6 Fuchs on 205/55 tires will fit under the stock '67 fenders. I have seen this application firsthand.

Here's my 67S with 6's all around and 195/65's. 205's would probably be ok but getting pretty tight... 225's are too much though.
