Wheels back from Harvey

Got my wheels back from Harvey this week and they look Great!!!!!!

Here is a before

Here is one I just got back

He told me that the gold paint gets tarnished because Porsche used brass in the paint but the true color is lighter like they are now.

I sent them last October and got them back last Monday. I can't wait to get them on and go driving before the snow falls.

Thanks!

Yes, it was 11 months and I did miss most of the driving season here but they do look great!
Harvey is quite the perfectionist and he took a lot of time to find the right gold that was original to the wheels. He told me he has friends who have gold fuchs and he matched the color from their wheels.

Gotta give him credit for being thorough! What kind of turn-around is he quoting these days for "normal" colors (i.e., flat black, etc.)?

Your car looks great.

If you ever pick up some H4 headlights I have some brass trim rings that you might like and would look good with your color scheme IMO.

Couldn't he have looked for the proper gold paint (for months, evidently) while you had your rims, and asked for them once he was ready? I'm not trying to stir the pot... was the communication such that you weren't surprised?
We're only granted so many summers!

Harvey works at a pretty good pace, but you have to keep in mind that his shop is not all that big considering the massive volume of wheels that pass through it. In order to get in the queue ,you have to send in your wheels. The last time I was out there he had literally 100s of sets of wheels in process.
Perfection takes time and every set of wheels he turns out is concourse ready, even when they are just going on a driver.

When I cracked the lip on my wheel in an accident the body shop sent them to Harvey. (Or at least that's what they told me. I have no reason to doubt that statement.) Mine is the regular anodized one with a black center, and that took about a month. YMMV.

How about a contact for the company that Harvey owns. In the future people will search this thread and want to know where to send their wheels.

Thank you very much! I made the mistake of not ordering new lug nuts but they should be here tomorrow or Wednesday and I will put them on.
