Fog Lights.

They are only adjustable left to right, not up and down.

True fog lights are USELESS except in certain daytime ground fog conditions.

I'm running H4's on my '87. The fog lights only serve to sweep the yellow line and the center line. They're not really fog lights, they just light up a wider part of the road. Still they're good for running the two lanes in the night paricularly if there's wildlife around.

If your '87 still has the original US market H5 lights, they aren't all that great. You may want to consider converting to H4s if you drive much at night.

How do you make this adjustment? My one fog light is cocked outward.

Look or feel behind the valance along the midline of the fog lamp. The fog lamp body/bracket has a stud that points down and through the fog lamp mount bracket on the valance. You should see a 15mm or 17mm nut. Loosen a little, adjust fog lamp, re-tighten. -J

If you have H4s there will be three screws on the mounting ring. One at the bottom that mounts the light to the car. The two others one low and one opposite and high are for adjustment. One for horizontal and the other for vertical. I can't remember which is which but you'll see the change if you shine the lights on a wall. If you only see one screw at the bottom then you have trim rings installed over the mount rings. Remove the bottom screw and carefully remove the trim ring. You should see the two adjustment screws. There is a good set of directions for aiming your lights on the Daniel Stern website. -J
