Question Pulled manifolds off my 85'. Now I need to drop the motor: should I put the manifolds

back on before I pull the motor? I'm going to take the oil cooler off and replace those three o-rings while I'm in there too which I believe is easier when the right manifold is off?
I ended up pulling the exhaust off because I had some pretty bad leaks from the original oil return tubes (you could literally move them side to side!). Adjusted the valves, replaced the leaking rear shocks. Cleaned, cleaned and then cleaned the engine some more. Now I have discovered that there might be a RMS leak and the oil sender unit is leaking! SO, yes I did all this a bit backwards, but the can is opened now! I just can't leave it leaking, so I'm going for it! It pains me to see her bleed like this!
This will be my first drop out of a 911. Lots of information on this great forum of brotherly love! I'm marveled by this car, and how fun it is to work on! I am hooked for life as so many of us are on here! Thanks for any advice in advance.

I guess it depends on how you are planning to remove and support the engine and transmission.
If a motorcycle lift you could build up the sides with wood to support the case.
If the pelican jack adapter, no need to install them.
All depends on your method of support during removal.
