Front Rotor Fasteners
I'm replacing the fasteners on my 911 front rotors (20mm rotors on a '76 911) and the old ones are composed of a M8x22mm bolt, with a spring washer and a regular M8 nut. I just wanted to double-check these are supposed to be plain M8 nuts and not the locking variety? They are NLA from Porsche/Pelican and I want to make sure I get the right replacements from the hardware store. Would it be wise to use locking nuts anyway? Thanks!

I am sure you would be fine using a nylock. Overkill, but safe nonetheless.

In a street car nylock will most likely be fine, too much heat there for my car, serrated schnorr washers and flat nuts for me.

Thanks all. My local hardware store has some Class 10 conical locking nuts, so i will probably go with those:

Those should work, dab of never seize can't hurt either..
