1982 911SC Targa
At the top of the oil temperature dial scale is an orange light. What does it mean if the light is dimly on? The owners manual does not describe this function.

If the oil temp is is normal operating range, the dimly lit light may be from a bad connection. If I remember correctly, the orange light was a warning light for a high temp.

did some searching,

oil temp warning light in case of a sporto.

I removed my gauge and there's no bulb present.
