1974 911 targa color identification!!! Help!!!

Hi, just purchased a 1974 911 Targa and am having a very difficult time identifying the factory color name based on the attached photos...please help me identify the color. It was described to me a silver blue metallic but i am not finding it on the production data chart.

Sticker on front bonnet, or attached to front left inner fender... Maybe different on 74.

Love the color. I would ask if that's a stock 74 color, but you don't know.

AFAIK, Mexico blue was the only standard blue hue in '74, but several blue special options were available.
Agree RichGas - look at the small plate at the hinge of the driver's door for a color code and then search here for the chart.
If the code doesn't come up as a blue, my first guess from your photos is Iris blue (?).
btw, nice looking targa. Any more info on it?

Looks like Marathon Blue, a 914 color in 74 and 75. Mine is very close or the same as yours, mine is 358-9-3, which btw, seems to be a mystery number. There is a thread in the paint forum on this. Hope this helps.

Best year for a Targa IMHO. I'm starting to like them. Love the chrome and brushed look.

Thanks for the input. I will have the car in a week or so and will confirm the color. I found the car on ebay...paid a premium for it i'm sure but it just spoke to me and I had to have it. 75,000 miles, two owners, brand new seats, targa top redone, new calipers, no drips. Will put in a new sound system. After the auction ended the owner got two more emailed offers for 10k more than I paid from a buyer in England and another in Germany...I think they liked the color as much as I did! Can't wait to get her!
