something always needs to be fixed
This is not a complaint, but a measure to see if I have a normal porsche or not.
It seems there is always something to fix on my 84 carrera. I replace the spray motor and add a condensor to the A/C, now my heater blower does not work. I put new H4s in, and one side does not go to low beam and my fog lights are inop. I change oil and now i have a miss at 2700rpm. Or is this part of the charm. I do enjoy working on it, and it is much more reliable than my sold 71t 911. It seems all my work is on routine items and not the performance upgrades i am reading about. Am i having a normal 911 experience?

Conrad,
I'm not sure if it is normal ... sounds more like an American car and typical dealership work! They work on the A/C and afterwards the radio or lights don't work... One thing you will probably find out about in your 'luxo-mobile' Carrera, though ... probably 20 times as many electrical & electronic problems as on your old 911T!

I, too have an '84 that I work on my own. The answer is an unequivocal YES, you are having the quintessential experience. I even have had two of the same problems (the heater blower and washers).
Like you said; part of the charm.
