I'm in the process of replacing brake pads on my '73, and the new pads seem very tight going in the calipers. Also, the pads rub on the rotor pretty tightly- I can turn the rotors, but it takes a ton of effort. Will this loosen up when I put the retaining springs & pins back, and drive it for a bit?
The pads are Hawk PBS street/track, on M calipers. Thanks in advance- |

everything is fine...
the pads should almost ride on the rotors...should not be able to see light through the pad/rotor interface... |

Drive it a bit and see if the problem remains.
A slight sticking is quite normal, although with my all-new calippers I was able to turn all wheels absolutely free just with my fingertips. Jens |
