Whats this relay socket for
Any idea what this is for? I found it, wrapped in electrical tape, behind the dash on my 77 Turbo. It doesn't look like a Porsche socket although the wires look stock. The only markings on it are "MRO" and all nine sockets are numbered. The red wire in the bottom right corner of the first picture goes somewhere behind the fuse block. I have not yet figured out where the bundle with all the other wires goes, it seems to head toward the fuse block but I lose it under the gas filler pipe. The car has remote door locks installed, which work, and a killer stereo which doesn't. I don't picture this having anything to do with the stereo, but maybe the auto door locks used to include an alarm? Its an old Viper system.
The car runs fine and everything seems to work so I am reluctant to start tearing out wires until I have some idea what they are for. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Seat belt buzzer relay socket. Very common to find them empty.

Seat belt buzzer relay, that could be it. Or open door relay, maybe they are the same. What threw me off is the socket is not a standard Porsche part, MRO is an electronics outfit in Canada, and that one wire that appears to be wired up to the fuse panel somewhere.
I can look at a wiring diagram and figure it out easy enough. Thanks.
