Connector.

Just had the seats in our '86 re-skinned, and found this connector under the driver's seat.

My factory manual is loaned out.

Any thoughts where this goes.

Thanks in advance,

Gerry

Don't have heated seats, and do not recall ever seeing this connector.

Also, the color codes for seat heating in the Bentley, do not match this connector.

And, thanks to this shop, I have several electrical issues with the passenger seat.

Thanks,

Gerry

is it connected to your main harness?

It's a Mercedes connector.

Look for a plug on the bottom of the seat. An '86 had a power seat on the driver's side as standard.

Power seats are 8-prong, horizontal plugs. Doing some research, this should be a seatbelt warning light plug.

Yeah, what I shoul d have said was on the bottom of the seat there is a bracket that holds the plugs for the electrical connections, if I remember correctly. There should be a matching plug on this bracket that ought to be easy to spot.

connector.

Thanks to everybody!!!

Also, is the 8 pin plug for the passenger seat located under the driver's seat?

All of the functions for the pass seat are reversed.

Example-Pressing the seat back switch forward reclines the seat back.

Seat Connector.

I may have found the culprit.

My friend who has my factory manual, just faxed me this page:

It's very possible that the passenger electrical connector is reversed at the connection to the main harness.

The power to the height control-front has been eliminated, and the power to the other functions reversed may be due to a transposed connector.

Please advise as to the location of the passenger seat connector.

I think It's under the driver's seat.

Thanks,

Gerry

Connector.

Each seat has it's own power harness and connector.

As for the errant connector under the driver's seat, those who voted for the electric seat connection are correct.

The connector under the passenger seat was just hanging in the air, partially disconnected, and not attached correctly to the bracket.

Also, I think I have a dead front height motor.

Thanks to all who helped.

Gerry
