Let's see your custom interior!!

I have just finished removing my interior and thought it would be great to see what others have done. Let's see your custom interiors. Seats, cages ,painted interior etc etc.

I am having the interior painted and custom carpet trim installed only on the floor boards etc

Love this interior. I'm assuming the lever in front of the Hargett shifter is the e-brake. Any pics/info on the install?

I bought it years ago at the PartsHeaven swap and the bars were on it - they keep stuff, like my Playmate cooler, from hit the back of the seats. I believe that it is an RSAmerica "rear seat delete" and it's held in place via the outer seat belt mounts. I've found it far more useful, with the hidden storage bins, than the stock fold down seats.

here is mine. a 73 with real in dash a/c. the dash pad is from a 964/993. the door panels are RS Plus from AP Biz and are very nice. I recommend them if you want that look.

...you have a '71? Then, you need the correct period look.

I plan to paint the center tunnel - now, that does look good.

Bob (Crimson) - is that lower dash knee pad straight across without ashtray? - is that from the 964/993 family as well?

thanks,

thanks,
I don't think so. I got the car in boxes and it came with the car. The PO got it because he was getting rid of the under dash A/C and knew he would need something to finish the bottom of the dash.

Here are some more pictures at various stages of the interior build. The Hargett shifter is awesome, why didn't Porsche do it like that to begin with? The e-brake is moved to where the shifter used to be, and the lever is vertical for easy hand brake turns. The cage is a 3/4 cage rather than a full cage or 1/2 cage, adds stiffness and side impact protection. Still, it can be extended to a full cage if i chose to go that route.

Hey, looks like yours is getting there.

Here is a shot of mine, I will be updating some of the trim to be more authentic, including the door panels.
