Rennline Track Mat Question
Anyone have experience with these? Are they durable, will they scratch up easily? Would the black version be more or less durable than the aluminum version?
Thank you!

Don't really know the purpose of them. If your interior is stripped. ie no carpet. I would just get some r type rubber mats. Just my .234567 cents.

Based on experience seeing/detailing client Porsches with these, if the vehicle is really used, yes the anodize and AL surface will get scratched up.
I would imagine that having black anodize would show any potential scratches more than a clear anodize over silver AL. On a personal note, I dont care for these "mats". Just run with bare carpet if you want the lighter is better track approach. Or strip out the carpet completely. ;-) Just my $.02. Cooper |

I love them. They are very durable and highly resistant to scratching..

I had the aluminum ones in my GT3 and within a year I threw them out because they looked like hell from all the scratching. Generally I like Rennline's stuff but these were a bad idea.

I bought a pair a few years ago and returned them because I thought the fit was not as good as it could have been.

They work great on 964 and newer cars because of the irregular nature of the floor, I don't see why they would be wanted or needed on a 911/930 with nice flat floors

i think most of you are missing the point on these. they are designed for the weekend de/racer not everyday use. you are supposed to remove the mats and carpet from your car when going on the track (so they don't get in the way of your feet and the pedals) and these are used in their place.
